Sludge Bioreactors (SBRs)

Sludge Bioreactors (SBRs) are based on an aerobic or activated sludge process, using an aeration tank or bioreactor vessel where air is injected, following by a settling tank or clarifier to allow the biological flocs to settle. It separates the biological sludge from the clear treated water. It is typically used to treat waste water with a high organic content such as municipal sewage or certain types of industrial waste water.

De.mem’s SBRs are often packaged in containers, to minimize space requirements and for easy transport and installation on site. Scale up of a plant is simple based on the modular design. They are built using corrosion resistant materials, maximizing lifetime.
