Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF)

Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) is a water treatment process that clarifies waste water by the removal of suspended matters such as oil & grease or solids. The principle is based on dissolving air in the waste water under pressure and then releasing the air at atmospheric pressure in a floatation tank basin. The released air forms tiny bubbles which adhere to the suspended matter, causing it to float to the surface where it is removed by a skimming device.

DAF is widely used to treat industrial waste water from a range of industries, including the food & beverage sector, vehicle washing stations and the oil & petrochemical industries as well as chemical plants.

De.mem offers a wide range of DAF plants. The systems are engineered for highest efficiency, maximum lifetime and simple connection and installation on site.
